I am completing my MD at Harvard Medical School (expected 2025), having received my PhD from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2023. My dissertation focused on ethical issues related to global health priority setting. I also write about other topics in bioethics and health policy and co-host a podcast, Bio(un)ethical. I recently applied to residency in internal medicine, and plan to continue pursuing a career as a physician-researcher.
Before starting my MD/PhD, I attended Brown University, where I completed an independent major in Human Rights. After graduating, I spent two years as a fellow in the NIH Department of Bioethics, where I worked on ethical issues related to health research priority setting. In my free time, I enjoy raising two cats, backpacking, and eating ice cream. You can reach me at leah_pierson(at)hms.harvard.edu. |
