I co-host a podcast, Bio(un)ethical, where we question existing norms in medicine, science, and public health. On each episode, Sophie Gibert and I interview an expert on an important bioethical issue where we suspect some of the existing rules, regulations, or practices might be misguided; for instance, in our first episode, with Robert Steel, we discuss what research ethics oversight should look like, how we should assess the risks and benefits of research, and whether there should be upper limits on the amount of risk research participants can be exposed to.
